Amber's Awesome Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 137g Canola oil
  • 250g Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 200g Milk
  • 12.5g Baking powder
  • 100g Couverture chocolate
  • 30g Cocoa powder
  • 200g Plain flour
  • 200g Cream
  • 250g Couverture chocolate
  • 50g Milk
  • 38g Butter
  • 20g Canola oil

Method

  1. Beat eggs and sugar to ribbon stage
  2. Melt chocolate and oil
  3. Add milk to the egg mix, then add melted chocolate and oil
  4. Fold in all the dry ingrdients (sifted)
  5. Bake at 150 deg C for an hour
  6. To make ganache icing, boil cream and milk in a pot. Turn the heat off and add chocolate, butter and oil; stir well
