Jelly Slice
Ingredients
- 1 packet wine biscuits
- 200g melted butter
- 1 tin sweetened condensed milk, chilled
- juice of 2 lemons
- 1 tablespoon gelatin
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water, plus 1/2 cup
- 1 packet red or green jelly
Method
- Crush biscuits, mix with melted butter, then press into a swiss roll tin; chill
- Dissolve gelatin in 1/2 cup boiling water
- Mix condensed milk with lemon juice, then add gelatin mixture
- Pour onto base; chill until set
- Dissolve jelly in 1 1/2 cups boiling water; cool to room temperature, then pour over base
- Chill until set, then cut
