Gingernuts

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 225g butter
  • 1/2 tin golden syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 teaspoons ground ginger

Method

  1. Melt sugar, butter and golden syrup together
  2. Cool a bit, then add eggs
  3. Add flour, baking powder and ginger
  4. Using 2 spoons, form mixture into balls and place on lined baking trays, leaving room for spreading
  5. Bake at 180 deg C for 10-15 minutes

Nice made quite big
