Gingernuts
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 225g butter
- 1/2 tin golden syrup
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 teaspoons ground ginger
Method
- Melt sugar, butter and golden syrup together
- Cool a bit, then add eggs
- Add flour, baking powder and ginger
- Using 2 spoons, form mixture into balls and place on lined baking trays, leaving room for spreading
- Bake at 180 deg C for 10-15 minutes
