Scroggin Biscuits
Ingredients
- 500g butter
- 3 tablespoons golden syrup
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 1/2 cups plain flour
- 2 1/2 cups wholemeal flour
- 1 cup coconut
- 5 teaspoons baking powder
- optional additions (eg dried fruit, nuts, chocolate, Ginger)
Method
- Melt butter
- Add golden syrup, sugar, flours, coconut and baking powder
- Mix, then add optional additions
- Press into a large oven tray lined with baking paper
- Bake at 180 degrees Celcius for about 20 minutes

Half the recipe fills a slice tin.
