Smoked Fish Pie
Ingredients
- 60g butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 550g smoked fish, flaked
- 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
- 2 eggs, hardboiled and chopped
- 5 medium kumara, peeled, boiled and mashed
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 20g butter
- 1/2 cup milk, warm
- salt & pepper
Method
- Make a white sauce with the butter, flour and milk
- Add the smoked fish, parsley and egg, and pour into an ovenproof dish
- Mash the kumara with the garlic, ginger, butter, warm milk, and s&p, then put on top of the fish mixture
- Bake at 180degC for about 20 minutes
