Microwave Chocolate Fudge Cake
Ingredients
- 110g self-raising flour
- 110g caster sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 30g cocoa
- 55g melted butter/margarine
- 1 egg
- 4 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
For the sauce:
- 110g brown sugar
- 30g cocoa
- 150ml water
Method
- Mix flour, caster sugar, salt, and 30g of cocoa.
- Add melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract to above mix. Stir well to combine and place in microwavable bowl (sides should be about 5cm/2in high as cake will rise).
- Make sauce by combining brown sugar with the other 30g of cocoa. Sprinkle on top of batter mix.
- Warm water for 30 secs and tip on top of cake gently. Use a fork to gently prick a few holes in batter to allow some water to seep into it.
- Cook on high in microwave (800W) for five minutes.
- Serve with ice cream or custard.
