Churros
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
- Heat water, sugar, butter and salt until boiling
- Remove from heat
- Add flour all at once, stirring well until mixture leaves the side of the pot
- Stir in eggs and vanilla beaten together
- Put into an icing bag with a large star a nozzle
- Pipe sections about 4 inches long into hot oil
- Cook until golden brown
- Drain on paper towels
- Sprinkle with sugar, with cinnamon if liked
