American Chocolate Brownie
Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¾ cup flour
- ¼ cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ to ½ cup walnuts (optional)
- ½ cup (or more!) chocolate chips
Method
- Melt butter until liquid and beat in eggs, sugar and vanilla with a fork
- Fold in sifted ingredients and nuts; Do not over mix!
- Spoon and spread mixture into a flat-bottomed, straight-sided tin (well greased or lined with baking paper)
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on the surface (these sink in during cooking)
- Cook in microwave 4 or 5 min on high
- Turn out and sprinkle with icing sugar
