Lemon Slice
Ingredients
- 125g butter
- Grated zest of 2 lemons
- 1 tin sweetened condensed milk
- 100g chopped walnuts
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- 250g wine biscuits, crushed
Icing
- 100g butter
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 2 cups icing sugar
- Soften butter, whisk until creamy.
Method
- Line a 17 x 27 cm tin with baking paper.
- Melt butter, condensed milk and syrup on low.
- Stir in zest, walnuts and biscuit crumbs.
- Spread in tin; bake 15-20 minutes at 180°C.
- Ice when cool, then cut into bars.
