Teriyaki Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 T cornflour
- 1 T cold water
- 125g castor sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 4 T cider vinegar
- 1/2 t ground ginger
- 1/4 t white pepper
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 12 skinless chicken thighs
Method
- Combine cornflour and water in a small pan
- Add sugar, ginger, pepper, vinegar then soy sauce
- Stir in garlic
- Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently, until thickened
- Place chicken in a baking dish; brush with sauce
- Turn over, then brush again
- Bake for about 30 mins, basting every 10 mins
- Turn over, then bake for a further 30 mins, basting every 10 mins
