Peach Chutney #1
Ingredients
- 20 fresh ripe peaches, peeled and coarsely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 4 medium onions, chopped
- 2 1/2 c brown sugar
- 2 1/2 c cider vinegar
- 6 T lemon juice
- 1 T salt
- 1 1/2 t ground ginger
- 1/2 t ground nutmeg
- 1/4 t cayenne pepper
Method
- Put all ingreds into a large pan
- Boil, uncovered, for about an hour, or until mixture thickens; stir occasionally
- Pour into hot sterilised jars; seal when cold

Makes 8-10 jars
