Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp icing sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 90g butter, melted
  • 6 eggs
  • 75g butter, melted
  • 3 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 1 cup pecans

Method

  1. Process flour, icing sugar, baking powder, lemon juice and 90g of melted butter together
  2. Press into a large flan tin
  3. Process eggs, 75g melted butter, maple syrup, vanilla essence, brown sugar and salt together
  4. Arrange pecans in a pattern, then sink
  5. Bake at 180 degrees C for 25-30 mins until set

Notes

Serve small pieces with whipped cream
