Cherry Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • 250g butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup (250g) white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup (150g) glace cherries, chopped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170 deg C
  2. Coat 2 oven trays with baking paper
  3. Beat butter and sugar until creamy, then add the condensed milk; beat until pale and smooth
  4. Stir in vanilla, oats, flour and baking powder
  5. Stir in chocolate and cherries
  6. Place spoonfuls of mixture on trays; press flat with a wet fork
  7. Bake for 25-30 mins until golden brown
  8. Cool for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to cooling racks
